Amazon scamming us againJan 25, 2010 Has everybody learned to take Amazon's "Suggested Retail Prices" with a grain of salt yet? Because Nintendo's suggested retail price for this card is not twenty four and 99/100 greenbacks, it's twenty. Not nineteen ninety nine, not twenty five, twenty and 00/100. Nintendo points have a very direct correlation with the value of american currency: one centime is one Nintendo point. Easy, simple, clear.
So Amazon ups the "suggested" retail price by 25%, sells it for a 10% increase over the actual value of the points, and tells you how much money you're saving. Oh, those jokers.
Was able to purchase Pokemon Rumble for kids.Jan 21, 2010 Card is no fun. But when you use it too purchase a game (say like Pokemon Rumble!) from the WII on-line store it rocks. My son(8) and daughter(5) love playing it together. The bonus is they work together in this game. It also make you happy seeing them work together and laughing.

Opens the Door to More PossibilititesJan 17, 2010 If you own a Wii or a Nintendo DSi, these point cards are invaluable. There are so many games and applications that you can download using your DSi or Wii and a wireless internet connection. These add-on games and aps start at 200 points and go up.
When you buy this card, you load it onto your DSi or your Wii by entering the activation number. You then have a 'bank' to draw from when you want to download more programs.
My son loves to download on his DSi but we have also added onto our Wii.
When you put the points on your DSi, they are not available on your Wii and the same goes if you put the points on your Wii. In other words, they must be used on the product that you activate them on.
Once you download games or aps, they sit in the memory of the product you install them on.
The Wii has a lot of options including many older Nintendo games from previous systems.
In regards to pricing, one point is one cent. If you are paying anything more than that, it is not worth it.
You can buy these in store but especially around Christmas, many stores were out of them.

A triple wasteJan 04, 2010 I don't get Amazon's pricing. From other reviews, we know the price has fluctuated, but there is no excuse for this. Simply put: you can buy the points directly on the Wii, for $20 + tax. Points bought on the Wii are instantly available. You can even gift those points to someone else, which means you don't need a physical card for anything. It's purely a waste - a waste of money, a waste of packaging, and a waste of time.

numbers 'rip off'Dec 29, 2009 Typically I will just add points on the Wii shop channel with my credit card, but bought this to wrap as a gift. So we go to redeem it by getting the number -- you have to scratch off the gray material to reveal the number beneath. It says scratch gently, so I do with my fingernail--nothing scratches off. then I get a coin, and it starts to scratch off the gray covering, and the rest of the paper with the numbers. Very flimsy material. Nintendo customer support will credit your system if you mail them the card.
Unless you are giving this as a gift (or don't have a credit card) you are best to buy points directly on the Wii/DSi Shop Channel. Nintendo charges sales tax based on your county, so you might get a better deal elsewhere with no tax/shipping, but be warned.
