4Pretty goodNov 26, 2009
I've had this dsi case for a while now. I like it but it has some negatives. First, there's no hole for the ds stylus so you have to take out the ds to get the stylus. They do have a place to hold your stylus inside but i don't really like it. Also, you can only hold 2 extra games in it. I have about 5 games so i can't fit them all in there if i want it to close properly.Hope this helps!

4Good case to keep your DSi safeMay 23, 2009
Pros
1. good protection and padded on both sides
2. space for a thin stylus (like the smart one by Hori)
3. Great for in the pocket protection (keeps it from scratches

Cons
1. doesn't fit 100% in, and sometimes cuts off the top of the bottom screen.
2. Takes a while to stretch to really fit your DSi
3. only holds two games

3Barely FitsMay 14, 2009
When I saw the photos of this case online it was difficult for me to see that the actual dsi goes in the case (slot for where the buttons are located). I thought it was a simple case for holding, not where you'd be able to play it while the case was on. The leather and design of the case was very nice but the DSi did not fit well into the slots where the buttons were located. I had to force it in, afraid I was going to rip it, and once I got it on there were gaps in the fabric. Overall, I was not looking for a case like this so I returned it. I know it's the best looking case so I just think people should be aware that it's a case you play the DSi in because I wasn't.

5Compact way to play-through and charge-throughApr 29, 2009
When I look for a travel case for the DS or DSI I look for very few things.
1 - simple sleek design
2 - snug fit while holding one or two other games with soft interior that doesn't scratch the finish
3 - ability to PLAY THROUGH and CHARGE THROUGH the case (however you must leave the wallet cover open to charge as there is no hole to access the DSi after you close it).

This thing satisfies all of them hence why i give it a 5.

Things you must take the DSi out of the wallet to do:
1 - the DSi stylus port is covered however the wallet has a place for the extra stylus that the DSi comes with so it only needs to be taken out when you lose it to access the original stylus.
2 - the SD card port on the upper right is covered by the wallet as well, however outside of the initial insertion of the SD card, you don't really need to remove it often enough for this to bother any objective person.

The velvet interior fits the DSI very snugly to the point where you may feel uneasy squeezing the thing in at first but it holds it very securely and all the buttons match the play-through holes perfectly. The velvet framing the screen is also NOT loose.. which many play-through wallets can be.

Wallet holes an extra stylus at the hinge of the DS which the wallet folds over and there is enough room that the stylus does not scrape the DSi hinge.

Wallet also has 2 elastic game slots which can be used for extra games or extra SD cards. POTENTIAL PROBLEM: the wallet is snug so if you put two games in there, the plastic may press up on the top of the DSi, scraping the matte finish. I currently only have 1 game and 1 SD card in there and it hasn't been an issue. Also if it really bothers you, stick a tissue in there. but i'm personally not that persnickety.

Wallet has snap enclosure and overall looks very sleek without much fuss. Soft leather exterior that does not look like pleather or other such silly things... Nintendo DS logo over the flap that buckles into the base portion of the wallet. No belt clip or anything... but I don't know that many people who are cool enough to pull off sporting a DSi on their hip.

Have fun!

UPDATE (after 1 month of heavy use):

THE ORIGINAL CON i mentioned is NOT A CON. I've been putting 2 additional games in the 2 slots supported by this case and the elastic holding them in place is thick enough that the cartridge does not contact the matte finish of the DSi. It's somewhat more snug with two games in it but again, the elastic keeps it from rubbing and scratching the DSi so I really can't find a con with this case anymore.

It's a fantastic case, still love it, still sleek, no wear and tear visible despite daily... hourly play on the case itself and no wear and tear or any visible scratches on the DSi after repeated opening closing charging etc.

Velvet play-through area is still taut, has not loosened around the screen or buttons

Very happy with my purchase still.

UPDATE (after nearly 1 year of heavy use)

still rocks. love this case. the only scratches on my DSi are from my dumb little fingers dropping it while the case is open. otherwise its kept the DSi absolutely pristine.

SLEEVE PLAY THROUGH AREA - still very tight around the control base of the DSi. NO LOOSENING AROUND SCREEN OR BUTTONS like some plastic sleeves will. this velvety interior doesn't look it at first but is very very durable... and i don't exactly take it easy on the thing.

Still extremely happy with my purchase. would definitely recommend it. if you want it to hold more spare games though, that would be the only Con still. it only holds 2 other than the one you're playing and it gets a little tight on closing the latch if both slots have games in them.

4Luxury For The DSiApr 23, 2009
When it has came down to the new Nintendo DSi, many gamers are choosing the silicone armor, mostly because of its price. While it might seem like a better bet, it doesn't completely prtect it from the use of convience. Fortunately, there are other things that I absolutely recommend instead like the DSi Voyager. This feels more like a convient case that not only secures the DSi from damage, it also works better at stroing extra DSi stylus pens, in case you lose the one that came with the system, and it also holds some of your favorite Nintendo DS games here too like Brain Age or New Super Mario Brothers. Honestly, I really recommend the DSi Voyager as a better buy for all your Nintendo DSi needs.

Price: B

Convience: B 1/2+

Overall: B 1/2+
