I bought this for my daughters DSi back when they first came out (however long ago that was). It is still in use and has performed it's job to a T. It adds no bulk to the DSi and protects it from stickers and scratches. it will not save it from a major drop but it should not be expected to. If that is what you are looking for I would recommend the Nerf cover which are similar in function but have thick padding. Very Important Protection For Your DSiJun 23, 2010
This is a must for all DSi consoles! Our old DS consoles had these proctections, and resisted on themselves all the scratches, moisture and dirt, leaving like new our DS consoles. Helped cushioning many falls, too... So, when we ordered our new Nintendo consoles, we bought right there the clear protectors for them, and wouldn't use them without these protections ever!
These protectors come with the hole for the camera eye of the DSi console.

While difficult to install, the protectors work as advertised. Placing the protectors on the screen requires a completely dust-free environment or you will be preserving that dirt under the protector. The instructions state how easy the protectors can be removed, however I experienced trouble. The protectors ended up with small creases in trying to move the protectors off the screen to remove trapped dust.

Since the DSi has a matte finish it would soon be covered with fingerprints if it is not put in a cover. The cover also protects the game and gives an excellent degree of protection against accidental dropping damage. While protecting the game it doesn't interfere with any of the operation controls or openings. It should come with the game but since it doesn't I would say that it is a must have accessory.

If you have a better alternative than this, please go for it.
Pros:
Case is clear, You can see your DSI.
This products fits the DSI very well, the DSI snuggly sits in the case.
Cons:
The product is very flimsy.
The DSI corners stay open and likely can get damage if careless in handling.
