pros and consJun 07, 2010 I've had this keyboard for a year now.
The pros: it's suprisingly comfortable to use; it comunicates well with the computer from up to 10' away; it was very easy to set up; it can perform a LOT of functions; there's some flexibility if you are a leftie.
The cons: because it's a USB keyboard/mouse, if you have Windows (xp or vista) it can't turn on the computer or bring it up from sleep/stand by. You have to use the computer keyboard only. This keyboard is also fairly ugly. Also a few times, I would be typing and it would skip certain letters (loss of signal). Lastly, note there are NO DRIVERS OR SETTING MANAGERS for this product, i.e. you can't change ANY of the keyboard functions - even the quick links buttons can't be redirected to use another program.

The Ultimate Remote ControlFeb 06, 2010 I purchased the DSi Wireless Keyboard to be used with my LCD TV that I have hooked up to a desktop computer. I really only use this to surf the web and watch TV and Movies. I could not give this product 5 stars because it's not perfect. I find two things, sometimes, frustrating.
First, the device goes to "sleep" after several minutes and needs to be "awakened" to operate. This is actually a good idea because it saves battery life. However, you cannot awaken the device by simply rolling the ball; you have to actually push a button. If your cursor's last location was over an active button on your window or desktop, then pressing a button on the keyboard to wake it up can actually activate the button on your window and desktop and navigate you away from where you want to be.
Second, it seems that if the left side of the device is either behind a body part (such as a crossed leg while sitting) or if your hand is completely covering the left grip, it significantly loses its signal strength, hindering the performance. This is really noticeable when typing. That being said, I am a writing and have found this product not very reliable for typing. It consistently misses typed letters. Depending on how I'm holding the keyboard or whether it's in my lap or on a TV tray, significantly affects the typing capability. The best results come from using this keyboard on a TV tray and typing as if you were sitting at a desk. I purchased this model because of the extended range. I will say I had previously owned a Logic Tech wireless mouse and keyboard, which would only work within 3ft of the computer. This product works significantly better than those non-2.4GHz ones. Although my keyboard is only 8 feet from the receiver and obstruction free with a clear line of sight, my best typing performance is 1 out of two dozen letters missed; worst typing performance is every couple of letters are missed with multiple strikes to the key to get the letter to appear.
For web searches, IM, and looking at videos or pictures, this keyboard is awesome. If you're looking to write your next novel or update the family with a long email, this will not be your best choice. I have also found that the response is too slow for fast paced video games like first-person shooters.
All that being said I love my wireless keyboard as a user interface (remote control) for my internet/entertainment system, however I do not fully appreciate this item as a full fledge computer keyboard.
I would buy this product again without hesitation.

convienceFeb 03, 2010 when i first got this it worked great after awhile it started to have issues, like the mouce came apart on the inside and when i investigated the problem i found the small ball bearings out of place, inspected further and disovered that the plastic that kept the bearings in place were broke. also now the connection between the board and usb pice tend to have issues, like having to resync, and not very accurite with any objects in the line of sight.

Very frustratingJan 03, 2010 I threw this thing away after i just couldn't take having to retype and retype over and over when im typing away and only partial words would get typed out because the wireless signal wouldn't keep up with my typing, and i'm no speed typer either.
DisappointedDec 19, 2009 I ordered this keyboard for it's small size. It is small...but unfortunately doesn't maintain a connection wirelessly, and thus stops working often. It is very frustrating to be in the middle of typing and to have to unplug and resync the dongle and the keyboard. I ordered a new dongle and had the same problem. Not recommended at all.
