Pacemaker WarningFeb 24, 2010 Bought this device a couple of weeks ago for my hard-of- hearing father before he drove us all out of the house with the TV volume. Seems to work very well for him and was easy to set up with his new Bravia TV. Was not too happy when we opened package and found the pacemaker warning. The next day he called the pacemaker manufacturer and was told that it would not interfere and he was safe using. HOWEVER my father had his pacemaker replaced a couple of months ago so would advise anyone with pacemaker to call first before using or returning the product. Otherwise very satisfied with the product and the quiet in the house.
Good sound, but not comfortable, don't like below chin designFeb 24, 2010 First, the things I like. We have an old Sony TV with built in IR headphones that broke and I was pleased to see that this headset actually worked great with the built in IR (infrared - the signal is like an invisible flashlight beam) transmitter so we just use the base station for charging. Also, the sound quality is good and I was pleasantly surprised to see it came with one additional battery and places to charge two additional batteries in the charge stand simultaneously with the headset. If you use the base station you'll need to have audio RCA audio out jacks or, if you have a mini headphone jack, you can buy an adapter to connect the headphone to RCA connectors ([...]).
Now the bad. While I should have thought of this, I did not realize the problem that would be caused by the below the chin design. Because the receiver is below your chin and being IR it has to have line of sight with your TV and is blocked by anything that blocks normal light, if you are eating or drinking or even glancing at a magazine you'll block the signal and the sound will cut out. If I buy another type, I'll definitely stick with the headphone style. I wind up wearing them upside down above my head to avoid this problem, but they are definitely not designed for this.
I also found they irritated my ears after more than 30 minutes of use. I think this is because since they are below the chin the weight of the device is supported by my ears. While they don't weigh much, my ears aren't used to having things hang from them. I rated them 4 rather than 5 stars because I think the earpiece could be designed to be more comfortable. They don't fit my ears well.
To sum up, the headphones work well and sound good, I just find that I don't like the below the chin design. If you don't think the below the chin design will be a problem for you, this is a good product.

Health Risk?Dec 23, 2009 I can't really review this since I'm going to have to return it. Got it for my Dad for Christmas, since he has to crank up the volume to jet engine levels to hear the TV. Well, he called me and said he can't use it. Reason: The instructions say that it is not to be used by people with pacemakers (so you might discern that he has one). There was no such warning on the Amazon site for the product. I think a product that might interfere with your pacemaker and cause death might worth mentioning!

Very KoolNov 01, 2009 I got this for my dad who didn't really use it a lot, but I will use it myself when my hearing gets very much worse. I'm glad I got it.

Clarity C120Sep 08, 2009 Not much good to me... It will not work when plugged into Time Warner cable box. I have to use the mic and that picks up way too much room noise. The really bad part... I've been all over the web and can't find any customer service of help. Not recommended by me...
